"It is necessary to choose among the candidates the most worthy, responsible, caring about the fate of Cherepovets, a truly team player," the official wrote. The commission will include, among others, the deputy governor of the region Evgeny Tyutyukov and Zhestyannikov himself. Vadim Germanov left the post of mayor of Cherepovets on February 21, 2025. He held the position since October 2019, previously serving as the CEO of the company "Severstal Russian Steel."
