Deputy Chief of Police for Public Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Intinsky" Lieutenant Colonel of Police Kamil Magomedov thanked the head of the city branch of the bank Kurdyukova N.V. for her vigilance and concern and handed a letter of thanks.

Natalia Valentinovna was able to dissuade an elderly client from transferring funds according to instructions received from an unknown person by phone, and explained that the money is transferred to scammers. Previously, a certain Anastasia communicated with intinka for several days. Warm conversations took place via video link as well as screen demonstrations. The interlocutor offered a lonely pensioner to earn extra money on the stock exchange. On her advice, the citizen went to the bank and transferred 100,000 personal funds to the account indicated by the “well-wisher”. At the same time, the financial worker clarified several times whether she was wrong, but she assured that she was sending money to a relative. Next, the elderly woman was offered to take a loan in the amount of 300 thousand rubles, which, thanks to the vigilance of N. Kurdyukova, could not be done. A bank specialist saw that the victim was discussing a loan with someone via video link, suspected something was wrong and called the police. Also during the inspection, law enforcement officers found out that 57 thousand rubles were stolen from the intinka credit card, which she did not even know. According to these facts, the investigator initiated criminal cases on the grounds of crimes under Part 3 of Article 158 (Theft committed from a bank account), Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Fraud). The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Komi warns citizens against making rash actions and urges to be vigilant when receiving phone calls from unknown numbers.
