The longest overground pedestrian crossing was built in the south-east of Moscow along the exit from Novoegorievskoye highway to the inner side of the Moscow ring road, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel.

The longest overground pedestrian crossing was built in the south-east of Moscow along the exit from Novoegorievskoye highway to the inner side of the Moscow ring road, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel.
Now residents of the capital will be able to safely get to major shopping centers and ground transportation stops. The above-ground pedestrian crossing became part of the transport interchange at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road with the Upper Fields Street, where the capacity increased after the reconstruction. According to Sobyanin, on this section of the road also appeared four towers-descendants, located on both sides of the street Upper Fields and MKAD, and for disabled citizens and parents with wheelchairs equipped with elevators. Earlier, Sobyanin reported that in Moscow until 2030, it is planned to build 71.4 kilometers of metro lines, 31 stations and five new electric depots. According to the mayor, much has been done to develop the new road frame of the capital. So, since 2011, 1,460 kilometers of roads, 454 overpasses, bridges and tunnels, 328 pedestrian crossings have been laid. In 2025-2027, another 265.5 kilometers of roads and 51 pedestrian crossings will be built.
