In the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk crematorium of Balashikha near Moscow, the farewell ceremony with the director, screenwriter and film producer Ilya Sherstobitov was completed.

The ceremony was attended by close relatives of the director, friends, colleagues and students of the Institute of Film and Television (GITR), where he was a master at the Faculty of Directing. According to Sherstobitov’s students, they respected him very much and were grateful for his mentorship. “I believe that we will continue to carry all that he put into us, and to speak his words, to shoot his language, to think his thoughts,” — quotes the Agency TASS the words of one of the students of the Director. Ilya Sherstobitov died on March 5 at the age of 48. He has produced more than 20 films and TV series, including The Crown of Creation, Remembering You, The President’s Vacation, Steps and more. He also wrote scripts and directed.
