Indigenous peoples of the North were allocated quotas for catching the so-called white fish. The corresponding order was issued by the Department of Fisheries of the Magadan region. 2,098 applicants and 4 tribal communities were granted permits for traditional fishing.

The total quotas for representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North this year are 138.5 tons of white fish.
