The government of the Murmansk region will allocate 200 million rubles to upgrade 53 elevators in high-rise buildings. According to the Minister of Construction of the region Alexei Grachikov, according to the technical regulation of the Customs Union "Elevator Safety", all elevators with an expired service life should be replaced by 2030. However, it is impossible to collect the necessary funds only through contributions for capital repairs in such a short time. In this regard, the Governor Andrey Chibis decided to allocate an additional 200 million rubles from the regional budget. Although this amount is not enough to replace all obsolete elevators, it will be a good start for the implementation of the plan to replace lifts in apartment buildings. The financing will replace more than 50 elevators in 29 houses of Murmansk and the region as part of the strategic plan "Live in the North!".
