The launch of the Lavna terminal and the development of the Murmansk transport hub became key topics of discussion in Moscow

The Murmansk transport hub and the Northern Sea Route remain in the field of view of the federal center. Governor Andrey Chibis wrote about this in his Telegram channel. The head of the region took part in a meeting on the development of MTU under the chairmanship of the Minister of Transport of Russia Roman Starovoit, during which the progress of the project was discussed, Murman reports. “In general, the Murmansk region is developing very actively now. Andrei Vladimirovich, taking this opportunity, wanted to thank you, your entire team. Indeed, investment projects are being implemented in a variety of areas, and, despite all the economic difficulties, investments are not stopped. Therefore, in terms of the development of transport infrastructure and logistics, we must keep our joint projects with the region in sight, Roman Starovoit stressed. According to Andrey Chibis, special attention was paid to issues related to the launch of the Lavna coal terminal. Last week, the governor of the Murmansk region visited the construction site. Work on the Lavna has reached the finish line: one line is completely ready. The parties also discussed options for increasing the capacity of the Murmansk transport hub infrastructure, including the terminal for Belarusian partners. The Governor reminded that MTU is important for strengthening the logistics potential of Russia, development of international cooperation, development of the Northern Sea Route. “I thank Roman Vladimirovich for his attention to the project, coordination of the work of all participants and constructive dialogue,” Andrei Chibis summed up.
