State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin from the United Russia party sent an appeal to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova with a proposal to check the legality of the sale of Monster High dolls in coffins in children's stores, RIA Novosti writes with reference to the text of the appeal.
The deputy was approached in social networks with a question about the sale of Monster High dolls, complete with which you can buy a toy coffin. It is noted that on the boxes with toys there is a sign “4+”, which means that such a doll is intended for children over 4 years old. “I ask you, dear Anna Yurievna, to consider the legality of the sale of such children’s goods, as well as further examination to assess the safety of toys,” the appeal reads. According to Govyrin, Monster High dolls in coffins can harm a child’s mental health. More than 70% of the Russian toy market is imported products. According to the head of the State Duma Committee for the Development of Civil Society Yana Lantratova, the use of a number of foreign goods negatively affects the health and psyche of children, bringing them including to enuresis and suicide.
