The document suggests that a citizen working at the state defense order enterprise will be able to undergo alternative service instead of standard military service. This measure will help solve the problem of the shortage of personnel needed to fulfill the state defense order on time, and accelerate the supply of military products, explained one of the authors of the initiative. In addition, it is proposed to expand the list of venues for citizens of alternative civil service. Earlier, the head of the state Duma Committee on defense Andrei Kartapolov said that the deputies are working on legislative changes that will release from conscription for military service members who voluntarily signed a contract with the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation and served six months.
