The popularity of this trend is associated with new amendments to the law that allow parents to take parental leave, receive payments and at the same time continue to work. “The amount of payment is 40 percent of the average earnings calculated for 2 years preceding parental leave,” the SFR explained. That is, men, taking maternity leave, continue to work, receiving both salary and allowance, and their spouses sit with children, writes the publication 72.ru. It is noted that the maximum amount of maternity payments in this region at the moment is more than 49 thousand rubles.
