Recently, we told the story of Lana’s dog, which the owner brought to the clinic to be euthanized, but she was transferred to a shelter. The shelter said the owners had abandoned the dog. One of the group's followers, Adeline, responded to the call for help, and Lana was transported to her. The next day, however, the dog switched to other subscribers. On February 24, 2025, the shelter requested financial assistance to diagnose and treat Lana. On examination of the dog and tests it turned out that there is a problem in the mouth, so the doctors suggested to conduct a cytological examination. After contacting the new family, it became clear that it would be difficult for them to care for Lana, especially given the need for hospitalization. They decided to give the dog to an orphanage. The doctor examined the dog’s mouth and found that Lana actually lacked a functioning tongue, causing severe pain and making it impossible to consume food and water normally. Representatives of the shelter note that Lana is fully under the care of the shelter. They have raised funds for her treatment and are fully responsible for both the dog and the donations received. Transferring a sick animal to someone in the current conditions is unacceptable, neither legally nor morally. As a result, it can be concluded from the shelter post that the dog will still be euthanized in order to avoid torture.
