The film version of the play will also be shown in major theater chains in more than 70 cities. The film version was created by the TV channel "Russia-Culture" and the State Academic Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov.

The story of the autocrat, on whom the fates of millions of people depended and who himself was surrounded by mortal enemies, found a lively response among audiences and theater critics. The premiere of the play took place in March 2023, and since then it has invariably collected sold-out tickets for months ahead.
