Illegal activities were identified by the regional FSB department together with the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs and are being investigated by the regional Investigative Committee. It was established that they acted as a group of persons by prior conspiracy in order to undermine the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation, the joint press service of the courts of Udmurtia noted. “The defendants and their defense counsel objected to the satisfaction of the investigator’s request,” the statement said. However, after examining all the materials of the case and hearing the views of the participants in the process, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months against the accused.
