In the name of those who personally experienced the tragedy of deportation, in whose hearts both the pain and the bitterness of loss remain. The day before, Kabardino-Balkar State University honored the memory of the victims of the deportation of the Balkar people. These lines Kazim Mechiev wrote in 1944 in Kazakhstan. It was with this work, dedicated to the history and fate of the Balkar people, that the State University of the Republic began the evening of remembrance. The students prepared a whole program. In the form of poems and musical compositions, the audience was shown and told about the events of that time, about what trials people had to go through. Such meetings at KBSU have already become a tradition. Organized by the Center of Balkar culture of the university. In the lobby of the university opened an exhibition called “Memory is stronger than time”. It will last until March 10th. And for the Day of Revival of the Balkar people, the University Center prepared and published two books: “Our Fire Burns Again” and “Language is the Keeper of the Spirit.” They contain works not only of classics, but also of young authors, most of whom are graduates of KBSU.
