On the pedestrian part of Kabardinskaya Street in Nalchik there is a new exhibition: here you can see copies of the works of the honored artist of Kabardino-Balkaria Yakub Akkizov. This is part of the project “Walk with the author”, which is implemented with the support of the mayor’s office of the capital of the republic. On the stands of "Expromt-galleries" - four dozen works of the author. Yakub Akkizov is a master of lithography and book graphics, the author of jubilee and commemorative signs, as well as the coat of arms of Kabardino-Balkaria. A great place in his work was occupied by the themes of the Nart epic. According to his relatives, he was a man who constantly worked. Yakub Akkizov died in '94, but his work still resonates in the hearts of those who come into contact with him. In early April, the public of the republic will celebrate the 83rd anniversary of the artist’s birth.
