Macron: Russia has become a threat to France and Europe

According to him, the conflict in Ukraine “is not weakening”, the United States “leaves uncertainty about future steps”, and is going to impose duties on European goods. From day one, we decided to support Ukraine and impose sanctions against Russia. And it was the right decision, Macron said, adding that "the fight is not only for the freedom of the Ukrainian people," but also for France's "own security." According to the French president, peace cannot be built at any cost and under Russian dictates, and cannot be the capitulation of Ukraine. On the eve of the Daily Mail, citing diplomatic sources, reported that next week French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Kir Starmer are ready to go to Washington to present a plan for settling the Ukrainian issue together with the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky. Later, the Elysee Palace denied this information. Earlier in an interview with Le Figaro, Macron announced a joint plan with Starmer to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, which, in particular, suggests the possibility of a temporary truce. The leaders are proposing a "ceasefire in the air, at sea and on energy infrastructure" with a full cessation of hostilities for one month. After that, the second stage will begin, under which, in the case of a sustainable ceasefire, peacekeepers can be sent to Ukraine.
