Property confiscated from corrupt officials should be transferred to the most distinguished participants of the SVO, who need to improve housing conditions. This initiative was made by the leader of the party “Fair Russia – For the Truth” Sergey Mironov.
“Palaces, apartments, yachts, expensive cars, jewels – all put under the hammer for the needs of our heroes!” – urged Sergey Mironov. This is a new initiative of “Fair Russia”, which Mironov expressed at a meeting of the Council for Veterans Affairs in the State Duma. Earlier, Sergei Mironov proposed to transfer part of the confiscated from corrupt officials for the needs of a special military operation in Ukraine and for the rehabilitation of military personnel who passed through the SVO. According to the leader of Fair Russia, for these purposes it is necessary to transfer not only the confiscated property itself, but also the funds received from its implementation. Mironov proposed to create a special fund that would accumulate funds from the sale of property of corrupt officials, and then sent them to provide housing to veterans of the SVO. In 2024, Sergei Mironov stressed, the income from the sale of property confiscated from corrupt officials exceeded 21 billion rubles. Now these funds go directly to the government.
