Murmansk sea fishing port achieved the best result in terms of total cargo turnover over the past 18 years - 418.2 thousand tons. The volume of transshipment of fish products amounted to 278.2 thousand tons - this is the highest figure since 2010. About this GTRK "Murman" reported in Rosrybolovstvo. In order to achieve such results after the port was transferred to the state administration, the facility was upgraded in 2023. Seven new loaders, an excavator and other equipment were purchased, three portal cranes are being installed. According to the results of work in 2023, the net profit for the first time in a long time amounted to about 150 million rubles. Salaries on average grew by 24%, which helped to stop the trend of outflow of specialists. A logistics route has been established for the delivery of the crab to the Far East by rail. Conditions are being created in the port for comprehensive maintenance of fishing fleet vessels, including repairs. In particular, an agreement was concluded between STLC JSC, the Government of the Murmansk Region and MMRP JSC to create a ship repair cluster, and design and survey work was started. The construction of a high-tech automated complex is at the pre-project stage. It will store at the same time about 15 thousand tons of ice cream products. A project for the purchase and operation of floating berths for the organization of inter-flight parking of more vessels of the fishing fleet is being worked out.
