Vladimir Putin’s meeting with government members takes place in videoconference. “We see people actively using mechanisms that can protect them. A good example is self-prohibition of loans. It works 4 days, but more than 3 million people have established a self-ban on loans so that fraudsters could not issue loans in their name and withdraw [funds], Nabiullina said. The law on self-prohibition of loans will come into force from March 1, 2025. The new mechanism can be installed through public services. The self-prohibition does not apply to auto loans, mortgages, educational contracts, and existing loans.
