Four theater actresses have long rehearsed Tennessee Williams' play "A Beautiful Sunday for a Picnic." Their analysis reached a dead end and the artists turned to the art director. He took their long-term correspondence discussing the text and based on it created a new story. It made a play in a play. God called four angels to give them a mission. “I give you the task of remembering the Earth, descending to the ground, into the bodies of actresses and acting out this play, and getting the mummy of love out of there,” says the artistic director of the Stanislavsky Electrotheater Boris Yukhananov. As a result, a trilogy was born, totaling nine hours. In this project, Boris Yukhananov continues to explore the interaction of theater and cinema. Events flow from screen to stage and back. “A film is not a video that captures what is happening on stage, adapting or playing with it for the viewer. This is a special kind of part of the ongoing, complex composition, necessary in the overall story, notes Boris Yukhananov. Fairy tale, mystery, fantasy. Boris Yukhananov calls his direction of work the collection of all arts under the auspices of the theater.
