Orban: celebrities visited Ukraine only for millions of dollars

This is an unprecedented corruption scandal in history. Stars were given money to go to Ukraine. They did not do it out of heart and sympathy for the Ukrainians – what could have happened at all – but they received millions of euros or dollars for it, Orban told TV2. According to the politician, celebrities received funding not only for public support of Ukraine, but also for promoting certain narratives in American interests. He also noted that journalists and non-governmental organizations are also promoting U.S. interests, receiving money for it, which is unacceptable. Orban added that in 40 years of political activity, “I have not seen anything like it.” Billions of dollars from the U.S. budget are transferred to support various organizations around the world that defend the interests of the United States. In this regard, the Hungarian Prime Minister stressed that his country will not allow itself to be considered a puppet, the Hungarians themselves decide what to believe. In early February, it was reported that USAID paid Hollywood stars to condemn a special military operation. The most expensive actress was Angelina Jolie, who was paid $20 million. Earlier, Orban announced the development of a law modeled on the “Magnitsky Act” to limit funding for the network of organizations of American billionaire George Soros, whose structures are recognized in Russia as undesirable. The politician thanked US President Donald Trump for revealing the “dark conspiracy” associated with USAID, and expressed his intention to close the organizations funded by this agency in Hungary, and to impose sanctions on those receiving money from abroad to influence politics. February 20, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko in an interview with Sputnik said that due to legislative changes in Russia managed to stop the activities of structures associated with USAID. According to the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, said on the air of the program “Sunday evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on the TV channel “Russia”, USAID has long acted as a support force of the ultra-liberal American dictatorship.
