Time in the Ukraine conflict remains on Russia’s side. However, it should be stopped as soon as possible, as it causes great damage to the European economy, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
Speaking about the scenarios of events around Ukraine, Orban noted that he sees two options. There are two possible scenarios: when time plays into the hands of the EU and Ukraine, the conflict continues, the other option is time plays into the hands of Russia. I see the second option, so, in my opinion, the EU and Ukraine need to start negotiations immediately, Orban said during a speech at a diplomatic forum in Antalya. Earlier, Orban said that Hungary intends to “stay away” from the Ukrainian conflict. He stressed that the leaders of the European Union almost dragged Europe into an armed confrontation, but Budapest stands for a peaceful settlement of the situation.
