The meeting took place on March 5 at the Park des Princes stadium in the French capital. Speaking for PSG Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov did not participate in the match, remaining on the bench. On goal instead played Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, who missed a goal from midfielder Harvey Elliot in the 87th minute. The publication drew attention to the fact that Elliot went on the field only in the 86th minute. The second game between Liverpool and PSG will take place on 11 March. The pairs of opponents in the first round of the Champions League playoffs were determined on February 21 during the draw in the Swiss city of Nyon.
