Putin announced the formation of a new phenomenon – bioeconomy

Putin suggested that the next forum be devoted to this topic, if colleagues consider it appropriate and interesting. In general, we are talking about the formation of a fundamentally new phenomenon, a new reality – the bioeconomy. This topic is the most important, key from the point of view of the quality of global growth, the head of state said. Russia invites representatives of science, education and business from all over the world to participate in the future forum and is open for cooperation. Earlier in December 2024, it was reported that the Russian government will soon develop a national project "Bioeconomics", which will include the construction of infrastructure for the use of biomaterials and the development of technologies necessary in agriculture, ecology and pharmaceuticals.
