Rospotrebnadzor: Oropush fever does not threaten Russia

Earlier, tourists were warned about the possibility of contracting Oropush fever in South America, including Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Cuba. Rospotrebnadzor assured that the agency’s specialists regularly monitor infectious diseases on the world stage and inform citizens about possible risks, as well as recommended measures to protect health. Oropush fever is transmitted through bites of small flies and some species of mosquitoes, recall in Rospotrebnadzor. They do not live in Russia. There are also no reservoirs and sources of infection in the country, so the spread of Oropush fever is impossible. Among the symptoms of the disease are severe headache, chills, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, rash, increased sensitivity to light.
