It makes it possible to calculate potential infected and analyze epidemiological risks. In October 2024, an outbreak of an unknown disease was recorded in the province of Kwango in the west of the DR Congo. At the end of December, specialists of the National Institute of Biomedical Research of the Republic reported that several viruses are the causative agents of an unknown disease at once - the strain of influenza AH1N1 and the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which also interact with malaria.
