The diplomat drew attention to the well-recognized “passionate desire” of the British and French to interfere in negotiations with their “harmful advice”. If they really begin to engage in this mediation, then here, I am quite sure, the Ukrainians will begin to lament, to abandon their positions, to refer to the Europeans. All of this has happened, we’ve been through it all. Of course, [negotiations] will become much more difficult, the ambassador said in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said in January that the republic should be part of any negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict. The British authorities, meanwhile, met in the leadership of 20 countries that are interested in a “coalition of willing” to ensure peace in Ukraine.
