The Russian government supported the bill on ratification of the agreement on cooperation between Russia and Belarus in the field of supervision and control of the financial market.
The agreement was concluded between the governments of the countries, as well as the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. “This document will make it possible to advance in the implementation of the program to harmonize the regulations for banks, non-state pension funds, insurance companies and other organizations operating in our countries,” said the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin. The Prime Minister added that the document will also ensure the creation of unified principles for protecting the interests of investors and depositors, simplify the procedure for joint inspections of cross-border transactions and make financial institutions and economies more reliable and stable. Mikhail Mishustin stressed that the measures prescribed in the agreement will contribute to the further development of business partnership between Russia and Belarus.
