Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow expects all CSTO leaders to attend Victory Parade

Russia expects that the leaders of all countries participating in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be in Moscow at the Victory Parade on May 9. This was stated by the director of the first department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Mikael Agasandyan.

In addition, military personnel of the Organization’s countries will pass along the Red Square, the diplomat added. “We expect that at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, all the leaders of the CSTO countries, as well as national military contingents, will take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9,” the diplomat said in an interview with Allies. Recall that the CSTO includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that the military from 19 friendly countries, including seven states of the former Soviet Union, were invited to the parade on May 9 in Moscow.
