Prevention and combating offenses and crimes in the field of traffic safety, terrorism, extremism, as well as the issue of reducing accidents at railway crossings were discussed at a meeting of the interdepartmental working group. The meeting was chaired by First Deputy East Siberian Transport Prosecutor Maxim Grishayev. Particular attention was paid to the gross violation of traffic rules by the driver of a regular bus at the crossing of Lena – Yantal in the Ust-Kutsky district, where only miraculously no one was injured. I would like to note that in the spring of last year seven people died in a similar case in the Yaroslavl region. Let me add that in December 2024, a unique and expensive innovation system was installed at the move to the Ust-Kutsky district. At the same time, drivers maliciously ignore safety rules - destroy barriers. On 12 facts of traffic violations at this crossing, only seven perpetrators were established.
