📝 Summary

Prices for six vital medicines have been reduced by an average of 50% of the average cost in 2024 and by an average of 52% of the reference minimum prices for Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia reports.

The department specified that these drugs are needed to treat obstructive diseases of the respiratory tract, bronchial asthma, anemia, lymphoma, leukemia. Prices are reduced for reference (original) drugs INN "Inotuzumab ozogamycin", "Polatuzumab vedotin", "Budesonide + glycopyrronium bromide + Formoterol", "Glycopyrronia bromide + Indakaterol + Mometazon", "Tesepelumab" and "Roxadust". “FAS Russia conducted an economic analysis of producer prices for these drugs, as a result of which they were reduced,” the ministry said in a statement. The price decreased the most on the drug "Tezspire" (INN "Tezepelumab"). “The agreed price for the drug Tesspire ... is 184% lower than the minimum price in the reference countries for Russia and 214% lower than the average cost of its sale in 2024,” the FAS said. Tesspire is used along with other asthma medications to treat severe asthma in both adults and adolescents. The Agency added that the reduction in cost will increase the availability of drugs for residents of Russia. Medical organizations provide them free of charge under the program of state guarantees of free medical care. On March 1, a ban on the sale of expired medicines came into force in Russia. At the end of December, the FAS reported a 67% reduction in the cost of the drug against HIV "Fosphaladin".
