Detention of smugglers on the road, assault of criminals from the air. And this is only part of the work of the rapid reaction unit of the Ural customs. How are the special forces trained?
Less than 10 seconds for the entire operation. SOBR fighters detain smugglers. According to operative information, a black car crossed the border with a cargo of counterfeit tobacco. From its carriers you can expect anything, even fierce resistance. Last year, the Urals Customs Rapid Response Unit seized 12 kilograms of drugs and hundreds of thousands of packs of tobacco products imported into the region illegally. Military goods and timber are smuggled. Black wood hunters are controlled by SOBR from the air. To stop the theft of valuable material, you have to land in the deepest thickets. Now the soldiers are practicing the skills of parachute landing. The special unit descends using a rope, a carbine and a suspension system. Assault from the air allows you to perform combat missions where landing of the helicopter is impossible. Forests can be banks of rivers and even warehouses of criminals with prohibited goods. Here, the pilot is working out his skills: keeping the helicopter in one place is not so easy. In a special rapid reaction unit are fighters who have a rank in sambo or judo. They also practice hand-to-hand combat. Skills were often used during real arrests. Last year alone, the Urals Customs Rapid Response Unit conducted more than 600 special operations, for which 40 criminal cases were initiated. Fighters do not allow criminals to go beyond the laws and borders of the region.
