The cooling that came to the territory of European Russia in mid-February is approaching its end in the central regions. The average air temperature is slowly but steadily rising, and by the new week, daytime temperatures will even reach zero. In other words, February at the end of the month will return to the weather with which it began. In the Lipetsk region, it will be relatively warm during Maslenitsa week. Not thanks to the pre-spring sun - it won't be visible due to dense cloud cover, but because of the efforts of a strong westerly wind that will bring moist Atlantic air onto the continent. In the run-up to bidding farewell to winter, the weather in the Lipetsk region will be extremely unstable - thawing, windy, and damp. This will be facilitated by Atlantic cyclones. They will stretch across the European territory of Russia. The anticyclone will no longer be an obstacle to them. In the second half of the week, frost will only dominate at night. The daytime temperature will strive for 0. As a result, the temperature background will already be 3 degrees above normal. Precipitation will start falling almost every day, mainly in the form of wet snow turning into rain. Due to fluctuations in atmospheric pressure, wind gusts can reach 17 m/s. So, do not be deceived by high temperature values and dress warmer!
