The suspect in the rape of a beauty salon employee has been detained.

The incident itself occurred on February 23 in the Moscow district. A man entered a beauty salon where a 35-year-old woman worked, raped her, stabbed her in the neck with a knife, and fled the scene. The victim was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. "On the evening of February 24, the suspect in this crime was detained in the apartment of his friend, where he was hiding from the police," the department noted. A criminal case has been initiated under articles 131 ("Rape") and 132 ("Violent acts of a sexual nature") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to the publication "Fontanka," the perpetrator turned out to be a 39-year-old man, the former lover of the victim, who had been stalking her for a long time after their breakup. She stated that the criminal recorded the violence on video.
