The exhibition of works by Eliya Belyutin is held in the Ulyanovsk Museum of Fine Arts of the XX – XXI centuries. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist, who is called one of the leading painters of the Russian avant-garde in the second half of the last century. Belyutin’s work combines painting, graphics, sculpture and theoretical works. The exposition presents works of different periods of the master’s life. Thanks to this, you can see how his style changed from abstract expressionism to modular painting. You can also see the works of his students from the New Reality association. Senior Researcher of the Museum of Fine Arts of XX – XXI centuries Olga Koroleva: These were artists who already had work experience, who already had diplomas, and they were interested in it. Because he offered a completely different attitude to fine art. And he said that in each of us, in each person, there is a creative beginning. And this creative beginning must find its development. But only if the teacher does not in any way harm his pupil.”.
