📝 Summary

A D.C. court ruled to stop expelling migrants from the U.S. by plane, citing a 1798 law.

Earlier, a court in the States decided to temporarily postpone the deportation of five Venezuelans planned by the administration of President Donald Trump. The court also appealed to the 1798 law. Now the decision is extended to all deported migrants. “Any aircraft carrying these people that is about to take off or is in the air must be returned to the United States by any means necessary. Everything must be done to ensure that this is implemented immediately, said D.C. Judge James Boasberg. Earlier it became known that a number of American cities filed a lawsuit against Trump because of his migration policy. In particular, the authorities of San Francisco indicated that the actions of the Trump administration are aimed at illegally depriving the city of funding and forcing local law enforcement officers to do the work of the federal government.
