The Governor of Kuban spoke about the heroic path of Leonid Pavlovich Kosenko in the project #Defenders of the Fatherland Kuban.
Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Leonid Pavlovich Kosenko from Novokubansky district fought in the artillery regiment of the 1st Belarusian Front. When he was wounded, it was just over two months before Victory Day. This moment forever remained in his memory: the wristwatch stopped, the dial froze at exactly three hours. May 9 met in the hospital, where he was undergoing treatment. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Order of Glory of the III degree, medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" and "For Courage". After the war, Leonid Kosenko moved to Kuban. He worked as a driver of heavy equipment at various enterprises of the region, took part in the construction of the Novokuban sugar plant. The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev wished the veteran good health, family warmth and prosperity.
