26 billion rubles in Krasnodar region spent on repair of water supply networks

Improving the quality of drinking water supply to residents, including the modernization of networks, was discussed at a meeting held by the Governor of Kuban Veniamin Kondratiev. The head of the Krasnodar Territory drew attention to the fact that people should receive utilities, including energy and water supply, without interruptions, because comfort directly depends on this. The water supply system in the Kuban is one of the largest in the country: 30 thousand kilometers of pipelines, hundreds of wells, water intakes, treatment plants. Many communications were built in the 60s of the last century. Over 10 years, we have done a lot of work and reduced the wear of networks from 71% to 46%. We built 106 kilometers of sections of main water pipelines: Troitsky, Yeisky and Tamansky. For these purposes, a total of 26 billion rubles were allocated from the regional budget. As a result, the water supply situation has improved for more than 1.5 million residents. Last year alone, almost a thousand kilometers of old networks were replaced by subsidies granted to municipalities. The construction of water intake facilities in the village of Maryansk Krasnoarmeysky district, the main water pipeline from the village of Prochnookopskaya to the farm of Fortstadt, Novokubansky district, was completed. But water-related claims continue to flow. “We have no right to slow down the momentum and must do everything to ensure that quality drinking water enters the homes of Kuban residents without interruptions,” said Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev. The meeting also discussed the implementation of the Governor’s order on the annual replacement of 5% of dilapidated networks at the expense of municipalities’ own funds. Most towns and cities are doing this. Exceed the plan in Anapa, Gelendzhik, Vyselkovsky, Yeisk, Kanevsky, Krylov, Novokuban and Shcherbinovsky districts. But there are lagging municipalities, including Sochi, Armavir, Kushchevsky, Starominsky, Tbilisi and Temryuksky districts. These territories in the Ministry of Fuel and Housing and Utilities of the region will be taken under special control.
