Experience and knowledge for the benefit of the region – the “Stalingrad appeal” is gaining momentum! On its launch in the Volgograd region on February 2 announced Governor Andrei Bocharov. The main goal of the project is the development of management skills of fighters and veterans of special operations. The result will be the appointment of graduates to senior positions in executive and local governments, enterprises and organizations of the Volgograd region. One of the participants of the project "Stalingrad appeal" was a veteran of the SVO Dmitry Alekseev.

Deserved and sweat and blood awards Dmitry gets at our request and as if even shy. We think to ourselves: a real front-line soldier. How often had I seen before the same shyness, when the kitels strewn with medals, showed veterans of the great Patriotic war. However, Dmitry did not have time to stick to military ammunition. He is a civil man, a professional civil engineer. There was no experience of military service. But in September 2022 went to the forefront. Volunteer. Manly, without much explanation. "I had a sleepless night. I somehow felt like I had to be there. The next day, on the 22nd, at lunchtime, we can say that he ran away: he went to the military enlistment office, asked for a summons. Back at work, showed her off. At work, he said that the summons was brought home, his wife brought it. He came home and told his wife he was working. I did not want any unnecessary conversations, says a member of the SVO, combat veteran Dmitry Alekseev. Served as a shooter. A month later, first injury. Just returned to service, as the positions began to work enemy artillery and tanks. Survived a miracle. The speed of light is the fastest, and the speed of thought is faster than the speed of light. These are 2-3 seconds when you hear the tank coming out and you realize that the projectile is flying at you. There's so much going on in my head. I remembered all my relatives, acquaintances, I realized all my life, explains Dmitry Alekseev. Do fighters not know fear? Vedom. It helps to talk with friends, thoughts about relatives. Dmitri says that he was saved by the icon. Then there were hospitals, operations, and a long recovery in Volgograd. The fighter appealed to us to the state fund Defenders of the Fatherland for medical help. At this stage, he is now operated on, undergoing rehabilitation directly at home, then he received documents for the adaptation of the living room to facilitate his life, says social coordinator Oksana Popko. The special operation tests the strength not only of the fighters themselves. Whole families. No one who has defended Russia’s independence with arms in their hands today ever thought such a day would come. A reliable rear for Dmitry is the son and wife of Galina, they have been together for 13 years. I took care of myself, did bandages. At some point I realized that the main thing is to help recover psychologically. “My husband doesn’t regret it, I don’t think it’s the feeling he should feel for a man. I always support him. We go for a walk with him when he somehow managed to move around on crutches. We like to go to the musical theater, to football with the whole family. We love to travel, says his wife Galina Alekseeva. After the wound, Dmitry became stronger in his desire to help his native city and country. He mastered the program of the Higher School of Public Administration "Time of Heroes". Now the man was invited to take part in the regional program “Stalingrad appeal”. “They are very necessary, and they help, after everything that has happened, somehow adapt, somehow distract, develop further. This is personal growth, first and foremost. If, as a result of all training, I receive an offer to go to civil service, for me, of course, it will be an honor, said Dmitry Alekseev, a veteran of the SVO. The man says the new case is ready to give in full. It will not be easy, because here its wide front of tasks and responsibility is the highest, reports GTRK Volgograd-TRV.
