According to the meteorologist, the cause of such extreme weather manifestations is a deep anticyclone, which on Saturday and Sunday will approach the peninsula. “The average wind will be 25-30 meters per second, and gusts will reach 45-47 meters per second,” Vilfand said in an interview with TASS. He added that for these reasons, navigation is strictly prohibited in the region - there is a rapid icing of ships, as a result of which they lose stability.
