As von der Leyen noted, “Europe faces a clear danger” and “should be able to defend itself.” Today I will present to European leaders a plan to re-equip Europe with 800 billion euros of investment in defense. This will serve the cause of rearmament of Europe and arming Ukraine to continue fighting, the head of the European Commission said before the start of the summit in Brussels on Ukraine and European security. According to her, conditions should be created for Ukraine when they can “defend themselves” and achieve “sustainable peace”. Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron in an address to the French said that Russia has become a threat to Paris and the whole of Europe. According to him, peace in Europe can come only after the “appeasement” of Russia. The French leader also said that he had decided to start a discussion on the use of nuclear weapons to protect the entire European Union.
