Americans plan to obtain Russian citizenship, noting the high level of education and security in Russia. They also draw attention to measures to support large families by the authorities. In August 2024, the couple received a certificate of temporary asylum in Russia. Foreigners moving to Russia are no longer isolated cases. Canadian Arend Feinstra with his wife and eight children left the Canadian province of Ontario and moved to Russia. In the Nizhny Novgorod village, they plan to organize a dairy farm, breed goats and cows. Russia is a great place to raise children. Here they feel safe, said the head of the family.
