According to the doctor, energy poses serious health risks, especially for young organisms. First of all, they contain a huge amount of sugar. “We just have a boom in childhood obesity, a boom in diabetes, not to mention cardiovascular disease. In one can of energy up to 15 teaspoons of sugar, which is much higher than the daily norm. Caffeine stimulates the production of adrenaline, which leads to an increase in heartbeat, to jumps in blood pressure. And in children it can be arrhythmias, including life-threatening, said Fathulina. Also, the doctor added that a large amount of caffeine, which is contained in energy, causes anxiety, irritability, sleep disturbance, decreased concentration and headaches. Earlier, the lawyer told how to control the ban on the sale of energy to children.
