As reported by the regional prosecutor's office, in September 2023, a 48-year-old man received 350,000 rubles for the purchase of equipment for servicing and repairing cars. As a self-employed individual, he signed a contract with the regional Center for Social Protection of the Population. However, he did not spend the subsidy on the intended purposes, but provided fake receipts to social workers. The criminal case under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code for large-scale fraud has been referred to court. The fraudster faces up to 6 years of imprisonment.
