A resident of Tver committed a robbery at a store for the sake of one rose.

A 29-year-old saleswoman from one of the flower shops turned to law enforcement with a corresponding statement. It was established that an unknown man entered the trading pavilion and began to threaten the girl with a pocket knife. He then stole a rose and fled. Operatives interviewed possible witnesses, created a composite sketch based on the victim's description, reviewed video camera recordings, and forensic experts collected biological traces and micro-particles. As a result, the perpetrator was promptly apprehended. "He turned out to be a 33-year-old local resident. At the police station, he explained that he committed the crime under the influence of alcohol," the police noted. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery"). The man could face imprisonment for up to 10 years with a fine. Currently, the suspect is in temporary detention. The investigation is ongoing.
