Cardiovascular diseases are among the most common. To cope with them, Ural doctors use advanced methods and conduct unique operations. Margarita Letanina went to the department of the Heart and Vessel Center of the Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 to learn about how to preserve health.
To remove a blood clot from the vessels of the brain, doctors do not need to make incisions. The catheter is inserted through the femoral artery, travels through the vessels to the patient's head. The task of doctors is to restore blood flow as quickly as possible to minimize the number of damaged cells. To help doctors - angiograph, it allows specialists to accurately visualize the lumen of blood vessels and brain tissues. The same technologies help with heart surgery and literally save the lives of Sverdlovsk residents. And the process of recovery after them goes much faster. Every year on the basis of Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 about 2000 operations on the heart and blood vessels are performed, including complex and rare, such as the elimination of aortic ruptures. With the beginning of the implementation of the national project “Long and active life”, the flow of patients increased significantly. The national project "Long and active life" was a continuation of the project "Healthcare", the implementation of which was completed in 2024. The key goal is to increase the life expectancy of Russians to 78 years by 2030. Sverdlovsk doctors try, but do not get tired of reminding about the prevention of diseases.
