Alexander Galich. "An hour before dawn" - 10 March 2025, 14:31

Creating a radio play based on Alexander Galich’s play “An Hour Before Dawn” (High March), the creative group set a goal to return it to society: “We want to pay tribute to the creator and his heroes – prisoners of concentration camps during the Second World War, soldiers who did not return from the war.” They met on the road, in a column of prisoners, among women, old people and children who at dawn should be shot – a young soldier, a tanned boy and a thin brown-eyed girl. By the will of a dream, they were transported to another world, where there is no war and a death camp, where there is everything that makes a person’s life beautiful. They have created a future that will never come true. The composition of the play is peculiar: the action of the screensavers, prologue and epilogue is written by Galich in verse, the rest is in prose. Directed by Alexei Serov. Composer and sound producer - Yana Lobakhina. The roles are Anna Taratorkina, Denis Balandin, Prokhor Chekhovskaya, Katerina Vasilyeva, Andrei Bazhin, Yana Osipova, Daria Belousova, Marina Baghdasaryan, Andrei Bazhin, Vladimir Belyakin, Sergey Pechenkon and Oleg Kharitonov. The text from the author reads Vladislav Vetrov. The performance was recorded with the financial support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and the production center "Bissa".
