Starting from March 1, a law will come into force that will allow residents of apartment buildings to participate in housing and utilities management decisions through the State Services portal. The new service will provide the opportunity to hold owners' meetings online, receive information about upcoming meetings, and vote remotely.
According to the plan, the electronic format should ensure transparency of the voting procedure and solve the problem of fake signatures. It will also help increase turnout - a general meeting is valid if more than half of the property owners participate in it. The quorum is calculated not based on their number, but on the area of the property they own.
