On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Savelovsky court of Moscow sentenced Blinovskaya to five years in a general regime colony and a fine of 1 million rubles. The court recovered the property arrested in the case and satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor’s office to recover 587 million rubles in favor of the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reported. It is noted that the court counted the time spent by Blinovskaya in the pre-trial detention center, according to the scheme “day in a day and a half”, under house arrest – “two days for one”. “Queen of marathons” Elena Blinovskaya was under house arrest from the end of April 2023 to January 2024, then in the pre-trial detention center for more than a year. Thus, in fact, she has already served about two years out of the appointed five. Blinovskaya fully pleaded guilty and asked for a postponement of punishment until the 14th birthday of her children. She is dependent on four minors. The court refused to grant her a stay. At this stage, the defense appeared to comment on the possible time of Blinovskaya’s release.
