The film tells about the indigenous peoples of Sakhalin, about the history and cultural heritage of the Nivkhs, about the deep natural and mythological roots of incendiary national music and dances, which are engaged with passion and excitement by talented local youth. All together: Chukchi, Koryaks, Nivkhs and Russians. We will visit the festival in the Nivkh village of Chir-Unvd, see performances of the best ensembles of ethnic music. The wonderful Sakhalin writer Vladimir Sangi will tell about the gods of the hearth, sea and mountains. Lessons for playing a unique instrument – a bear sound – will be held for their students by the famous folk music performer Anastasia Bugray and teacher Efrosynia Shkalygina. A. Khrekov.
